MEMORANDUM FOR MILITARY SCIENCE PROFESSOR
SUBJECT: Autobiography
1. This is my autobiography created in accordance to the assignment dictated in the class syllabus. In it, I will convey my background information, discuss my military experience, describe my short and long-term goals with regard to ROTC and the Army, conduct an initial self-assessment of my leadership strengths and weaknesses focusing on traits that will assist me to become a good leader. Lastly, I will offer and defend my opinion with regard to whether nature or nurture forms leaders
2. My background is interesting and curious at the same time. I was born in Korea and grew up in an orphanage sponsored by World Vision. I was adopted by a single woman in Southern California at the age of seven and brought to the United States. The transition was difficult and an upbringing by a very religious individual in a foreign culture was troubling, spurring on many later difficulties. Although I became somewhat rebellious later on because of this start in life, I finished high school and moved away to seek freedom and opportunity out of the state.
