3. I married young and raised two children on meager income in Salt Lake City while pursuing a double major in Psychology and Sociology, which I successfully completed by the year 2000. Although living at the base of the spectacular Alp-like Wasatch mountain range was invigorating, I found that being in the hotbed of Mormon culture as a non-Mormon was restrictive and repressive, and so relocated with my new husband to San Diego in the fall of 1997. Our daughter was born late that year, and we purchased our new home in 2000.
